There was fanfare, action, skeletons, even a crowd wave at Sixth Annual Library Book Cart Drill Team Campionship.

It was a great competition, with 5 top-notch teams duking it out for the coveted Gold Cart title. But in the end it was the  “Night of the Living Librarians” team from the University of Pittsburgh took first place. Congratulations NTLL!

Book Cart Drill Championship -- the also-rans?

Where can I find out the names of the institutions of the other competitors in the competition?  I want to write about them in my blog, because they were all good, in their own way.  Any help you can give me would be great.  I looked in COGnotes, but they didn’t have that much information about the results.  I will try the DEMCO site, too.

Thanks,

Tacky Julie

Julie, The other teams

Julie,

The other teams were: The Delaware Diamonds, representing the Delaware Libraries (4th place); Gett Down with your Funky Shelf, representing the Messelman Library, Gettysburg (Pa.) College (3rd place); Night of the Living Librarians, representing the University of Pittsburgh School of Information Science (1st place); Texas ArRangers, representing Midlothian (Texas) Independent School District (2nd place); and ALA Student 2 Staff Kids, representing the ALA Student to Staff Program, Roselle, N.J.(5th place).

Thanks,

Sherri

It's Musselman Library

It’s Musselman Library, Gettysburg College, not Messelman. I used to work there, so I should know. :-)
