Getting Graphic at the Graphic Novel Pavilion
The Graphic Novel and Gaming Pavilions have been hosting a plethura of mini programs, author signings, demos and events from across the spectrum of the world of graphic novels and games.
Friday night featured a Drink & Draw reception that pitted graphic novel luminaries such as Owly’s Andy Runton, Unshelved’s Bill Barnes and Gene Ambaum, American Elf’s James Kochalka, and more against each other in drawing pictures on the fly based on audience input.
Saturday’s Cosplay On Parade Cocktail Reception invited attendees to dress up in costume as their favorite comic or graphic novel characters. Librarians were also able to learn more about using cosplay or, costume play events to generate even more excitement and awareness among theit patrons about their libraries and the resources they provide.
