Order Your 2013 Money Smart Week Promotional Materials Before February 6!
If you want to purchase bookmarks and posters to participate in Money Smart Week, April 20-27, 2013, a national initiative between the ALA and the Federal Reserve Bank (Chicago) to provide financial literacy programming to help members of your community better manage their personal finances, ALA needs your order form by February 6. This is the third year the ALA and the Federal Reserve Bank (Chicago) have worked together to provide financial literacy programming to help members of your community better manage their personal finances.
Libraries of all types can and do participate, providing programming for all ages and all stages of life on topics such as: basic budgeting; managing student debt; retirement planning; home purchasing; saving money through couponing; and how to prevent identity theft.
Last year public, academic, school, and even prison libraries in 39 states participated.
Mark your calendars to participate April 20-27, 2013!
If you are attending the 2013 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Seattle, be sure to attend the program Money Smart Week @ Your Library, Sunday, January 27, 2013, 1:00-2:30 p.m., in Room LL4-5. The Conference Center of the Washington State Convention Center. Please note: The WSCC-TCC ( The Conference Center) is part of the Convention Center. They have some of the same room numbers as the Convention Center so please make sure you come to the Conference Center.
