The Rock Bottom Remainders Rock Out
The Rock Bottom Remainders give their final performance at the ALA/ProQuest Scholarship Bash June 23, 2012, at ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim.

Creator of The Simpsons, Matt Groening dons a mask of Marge Simpson during part of the performance.
As though it needed proving, the Rock Bottom Remainders’ final performance June 23 at ALA Annual Conference proved that librarians know how to party.
Nearly 2,200 people attended the group’s last concert, held at the Anaheim Convention Center Ballroom, where many danced and sang along with band members who livened the stage. Among those who performed tonight were Stephen King, Amy Tan, Mitch Albom, Dave Barry, Matt Groening, and Scott Turow. (Groening, who created The Simpsons TV show, wore a mask of matriarch Marge Simpson during part of the performance.)
The ticketed event, sponsored by ALA and ProQuest, helps raise money for scholarships for graduate students in library and information studies, including the Spectrum Scholarship Program.
The Rock Bottom Remainders band recently announced that this concert, part of their “Past Our Bedtime” tour, will be their last after the passing of founder Kathi Kamen Goldmark.

DVD
I agree. It would be great to have a DVD of this concert. It is a great way to raise money for scholarships.

Rock Bottom Remainders DVD
I was just wondering if we would be able to purchase a DVD of the show at some point? I would love to have that as a piece of history.
DVD please!
I echo all of the above - a DVD would be fantastic, especially since I wasn’t able to attend the concert - and an excellent way to extend fundraising for the scholarships.
The little we know
According to ALA's Conference Services office, "the band did make their own recording," but it's not known at this time whether it will be released to the public.
