Popular Columnist Will Manley Enters Blogosphere

Will Manley, popular columnist for both American Libraries and Booklist, has entered the blogosphere with Will Unwound. "I've had a lot of good feedback from librarians," Manley told me this morning." I'm not surprised; more than one ALA Midwinter Meeting goer told me that they continue to enjoy his column, books, and public appearances after his 30+ years of provocative and often humorous commentary on Libraryland.

Manley's most recent posting begins: "When recently retired librarians get together the topic of conversation often turns to technology. Who would have ever thought that the hand stamp wielded by a circulation clerk would be replaced by a computerized self check-out machine or that the venerable old card catalog would become an artifact in a museum? But it’s not just library technology that we talk about…."
