Magazine Stand of the Future

Yesterday I attended a session at SXSW Interactive in Austin titled  After Magazines: WIRED’s Digital Rebirth with a representative from Wired and from Adobe. They are moving fast into the tablet format using Adobe Air as the backend medium. Their stated goals were to focus on content, walk-up usability, and something called "Revolution through Evolution" (starting simple and modify over time), continued access. Stickiness to older content, including integrating social media content. The big unknowns, in my opinion, include: accessibility. pricing. wired.com content.

They said much more, but readers might be interested in the live demo they did for the audience. I made a video of the demo.
