On April 9, New York Public Library announced the finalists for the 21st annual Young Lions Fiction Award, given annually to an American writer age 35 or younger for either a novel or a collection of short stories. The finalists are: Little Gods by Meng Jin, Pew by Catherine Lacey, Temporary by Hilary Leichter, Real Life by Brandon Taylor, and How Much of These Hills Is Gold by C. Pam Yang.
