In preparing this third edition, editors Cherié L. Weible and Karen L. Janke have built on the pioneering work of Virginia Boucher, author of the first two editions. The meat of the book is in the three chapters on managing interlibrary loan, which deal with the workflow basics of borrowing and lending. Simply put, these should be required reading for anyone new to ILL work. Additional value comes from the clear and detailed chapters covering copyright considerations and using technology to support the work of ILL.
