This year marks the 30th anniversary of Banned Books Week (BBW), the national book community’s annual celebration of the freedom to read. BBW, which was held September 30–October 6, featured the first-ever honorary cochairs, Bill Moyers and Judith Davidson Moyers, the Banned Books Virtual Read-Out, and the 50 State Salute to Banned Books Week. Libraries across the country also hosted readings, exhibits, and other activities. For more information, visit ala.org/bbooks.
