Katherine Susan Bailey Green, 96, school librarian, writer, and teacher, died February 23. She held positions in the Montclair and Newark, New Jersey, school systems and served as director of library services for East Orange Public Library. As an author, Green contributed to the World Book Encyclopedia and wrote a children’s book about the American flag. She was an authority on Old English and Middle English.
