Constance M. Mellott, 84, who taught graduate library science at Kent (Ohio) State University and retired as professor emeritus, died September 20. She also taught at Springfield (Mass.) Technical Junior College. She earned her MLS from Case Western Reserve and her PhD in library science from University of Pittsburgh.

Naomi Young, 53, principal serials cataloger at University of Florida in Gainesville, died December 19. Young was a member-at-large of the Continuing Resources Section of ALA’s Association for Library Collections and Technical Services. She was active in ALA and other library organizations and the serials cataloging community.
